Course Overview:

The majority of this course will be classroom instruction which will include a set of four different modules followed by a twenty five question multiple-choice test.

   Subjects Covered: 

  • Laws That Relate To Weapons and The Use of Deadly Force.

  • Handgun Use & Safety Including The Use of Restraint Holsters

  • Non-Violent Dispute Resolution 

  • Proper Storage Practices For Handguns 

    Range Qualification:

Upon completion of the classroom portion, we will move along to our on-site range where students will need to score 175 points out of a possible 250 (70%) to successfully pass the state mandated Texas License To Carry Course. 

B27 Silhouette Targets will be utilized on the range.

 

Prerequisites: None

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have a much deeper understanding of firearms, and will leave not just knowing the basic safety rules, but also have an understanding of the importance of them. They will leave more confident knowing they now have the ability to operate a pistol safely and effectively.

We do cap this course to keep a good Instructor to Student ratio so that we can spend more one on one time with each student to ensure they are comfortable and capable of handling a pistol.

Prerequisites: LTC or Pistol 1 Course

Like all of our classes, this class too, will start with a brief recap of the basic rules of gun safety. Once the rules have been discussed we will go over the drills that will be performed with an explanation and purpose of each drill.

The classes generally run 4-6 hours dependent on the needs of the students.

Our Pistol 2 Course lays the foundation for your pistol manipulation and handling abilities, making the transition in to our tactical pistol courses a lot smoother.
